BRGY. BONUAN BINLOC, DAGUPAN CITY, PANGASINAN – MISTAH Foundation USA under CDR RICHARD T GUBATAN SR PN (Res) in partnership with the Pangasinan Drug Enforcement Unit, Philippine National Police of Lingayen (PNP) under the leadership of PCPT LEO LLAMAS conducted clean-up drive and tree planting activity in the developing barangay of Bonuan Binloc, Dagupan City on the 18th of July 2021.
The event was headed by no less than the Founder of MISTAH Foundation USA, CDR GUBATAN SR. The joint project aims to promote community based environmental action for a cleaner and healthier world, and raising awareness to the residents of the said barangay the importance of planting trees in coastal area.
According to greenpop.org “Stormwater can be full of phosphorus pollutants and nitrogen. Without trees, stormwater flows into oceans and waters without being filtered. Trees break the rainfall and allow water to enter the earth and seep into the soil. Therefore, they prevent stormwater from polluting oceans.”
The project started at 8 o’clock in the morning. The team of 30 personnel had light breakfast and lunch prepared by the Foundation.
All in all the team planted 80 coconut trees and covered at least five (5) kilometers of land area during the environmental clean-up. In grateful acknowledgement of the volunteerism the team has offered, CDR GUBATAN SR bestowed an APPLE MACBOOK PRO to PCPT LLAMAS to be used for their office admin works. The event ended with the traditional boodle fight after the exhausting, but rewarding day.
