MISTAH donates Shields for Protection from COVID-19 to the Municipality of Aguilar, Pangasinan

The World Health Organization declared the outbreak of Covid-19 a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020, and a pandemic on 11 March 2020. At present, a year has passed and the normalcy the world has known has long been set aside. All around the globe, people’s way of life have been shifted to wearing shields of protection from the Covid-19 virus.
This International Protocol isn’t a big deal in rich countries, but in a third world country like the Philippines, the cost of face masks and face shields for low income families are a big burden to their daily living.
Bearing that in mind, on the 5th of April, 2021, the MISTAH Foundation USA under Cdr. Richard T. Gubatan PN(Res) decided to pledge a humble donation for the government and constituents of the Municipality of Aguilar, Pangasinan. The foundation chosen the 3rd class municipality, in view of the fact that the number of COVID-19 cases rises compared to last year.
The staff of MISTAH Foundation together with the Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) personnel of Aguilar, Pangasinan headed by Sgt. Ronnie De Vera Lontoc visited the Office of the Mayor in the said municipality to hand over the donation. Following this, they visited sixteen (16) barangays of the municipality to give the donations in person.
In total, the foundation donated 4000 boxes of face masks and 3500 face shields to the municipality.
