A Mistah out of the blue rescue for a Mammal
Calauit Island, Busuanga, Palawan – The 15minute boat ride from Calauit to the main island after the laptop donation to the Island of Calauit was an amazing one for Col. Richard T. Gubatan Sr., President of Mistah Foundation (USA). It was quite a remarkable experience for them to be able to take part in a rescue mission for a dolphin.Early in the morning, on their way back to their boat, Col. Gubatan and his comrades noticed the dolphin. It was washed up on the shore and had minimal wounds all over its body. They did not waste a second to help the dolphin and call the nearest DENR Rehabilitation Center in Palawan.
The folks in the island arrived with a long tub, it was then filled with sea water, they instantly put the dolphin inside like a makeshift aquarium. The DENR officials turned up and took the dolphin for rehabilitation. It was reported to Col. Gubatan that the dolphin was released back into the ocean after 20 days.
It surely is an extraordinary feeling to be able to do service, for any living being in the planet.
